HELLLLOOOO.
How's everyone's week been? Mine's
been crazy! I've already been out for two months now and it definitely doesn't
feel like it. Another sister from my district, who got re assigned to Houston,
just received her visa. So hopefully mine will come soon. I know with the
government being shut down and whatnot, probably delayed the process a little
bit, but it's all good. The Lord knows when I'll get my visa, I just wish I
KNEW! Haha, it's all good though! I'm enjoying my time here in Virginia.
One of our investigators, Annick, is
getting baptized this Saturday at 1:00! I'm so excited for her! She's from
Madagascar, so she speaks Malagasay, French and English. She's awesome. I love
her so much. Heavenly Father has really prepared her well. Everything we teach
her, she's always like "yeah! That makes sense! Oh, yeah!" Like, when
we talked about tithing, we said you know, after you're baptized, you start
paying tithing and all that stuff. Her reply was "I don't want to wait to
be baptized to start paying my tithing." I'm telling you, she's AWESOME.
And she has the cutest two kids on the planet, Alydia and Jerry. They always
taunt Sis Rom. and I though! They stick their arms up at us and want us to pick
them up! We're like NOOOO why do you do this to us?! One of the rules is that
we can't hold children. It's by far, THE HARDEST to keep! They're just so cute!
Alydia is 3 and Jerry is 2. I love them!
So our ward mission leader is....
well.. I don't even know how to explain him.. He's different.. Basically we
never get fed. Sister Romney and I go out to eat all the time becasue there's
no system to feed us in the ward. I'm not complaining though, I've learned to
love fast food. haha. So on Sunday, after the talks, he stands up in the
congregation and straight up starts telling the ward that we're not getting fed
and that members need to feed us more. It was SOOO awkward! We were like WHAT.
We didn't tell him to say that! Now all the ward members were acting weird
around us. Hahaha, it's co crazy. But yet, extremely funny. Ahh, gotta love
awkward moments.
Well the lady at the library just
told me that my time is up on the computer! :( I love you all so much! And
miss everyone! Send me letters!! I look forward to checking the mail everyday!

I KNOW without a shadow of a
doubt that this church is true. I have so much respect for Joseph Smith
and all he did for this church. I love him. I know that the Book of
Mormon is the word of God and was translated for our time! I know it!
I know that Jesus Christ lives! I know that He and Heavenly
Father love us so much, beyond comprehension! I am so grateful
for all the wonderful leaders (YW leaders especially!!) that I've had in
my life, and that have been the biggest example to me. I love this gospel!
I love it so much!!! I love being a missionary and sharing that message
with everyone!
