Oi todo mundo! Como vai?
This week's been grrrrreat! I feel
like I don't really have much to say though. Which makes absolutely no sense,
but oh well. Haha
First of all, I'M SINGING IN THE
RELIEF SOCIETY BROADCAST. I'LL BE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. EVERYONE LOOOOOOOK
FOR ME! I'll be wearing an ugly orange Halloween colored collared shirt. We're
all wearing jeweled toned colors, barf. And collared shirts aren't too hot
either, but oh well. I get to sing in front of the PROPHET!! I'm so excited!
The closing hymn is my favorite, More Holiness Give Me. It sounds sooooo
pretty! I know y'all will love it!
I get my re-assignment on Thursday
or Friday, if my visa doesn't come in! I'm so stinkin excited! Seriously! I
just want to tell everyone about the gospel of Jesus Cristo!!!!!
I want to share a really cool story
with y'all! First off Portuguese and Spanish sound completely different
and it was hard to transitioning at first. But the other day Sister Ames and I
taught a lesson in another room and afterwards I noticed that it was a Spanish
room, like where they teach if you're going Spanish speaking. Anyway, after the
lesson I looked at the wall, and tried and read the first vision is Spanish and
I couldn't pronounce a single word. Not one. I started bawling, because if you
know me, you know how much I love Spanish, and I don't want to lose it! I
already feel like I totally did! Anyway, so we go back to our classroom and I'm
just sitting there all upset. Then I look behind me, and I see all the apostles
pictures on the wall, then picture Elder Holland's face looking at me and
saying "So what? Who cares what you want? Who cares if you don't want to
lose your Spanish and don't want to learn Port.? SO WHAT? This isn't about what
you want, this is about what the Lord wants. This is His work, not yours."
Then I started crying more because I felt bad! But I know that this is truly
the Lords work that I'm doing and I'm supposed to be in Brazil speaking
Portuguese. And I couldn't be happier!
There's not really much else to say
about this week! Except the elder sitting next to me right now is eating
something grape flavored and I smell it! GROSSSSSSSS. Hahaha, I know everyone
wanted to know that. You're welcome for telling you.
EU SE that this gospel is true. EU
SE that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who translated the Book of the Mormon
with the help of the Lord. EU SE that this gospel is true! I KNOW without a
shadow of a doubt that this is absolutely where I'm supposed to be. I could not
be happier. I am so grateful for my companion, Sister Ames, I love her! I'm so
grateful for the MTC. I love you all and I'll see ya next week!
Line of the week:
Elder Dunlap: I don't like the
Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Elder Christensen: So... you worship
the devil?
So funny! We were all dying! I love
the Elders in my district! They're all so funny!!
Te amo muito!
Tchau tchau,
Sister Hallmark
All my Dear Elders I've gotten the
entire time I've been here. I still want more! I want to hear how everyone's
doing! SEND ME DEAR ELDERS! |
Sister Ames and I got too excited to
play volleyball. It's FREEZING here in Utah.
|
After playing volleyball during gym
time, in the rain. It was SO. MUCH. FUN! Me, Sister Hansen, Sister Loo and
Sister Ames.
|
We get bored in class sometimes. And
by we, I mean Sister Ames. Hahahaha
|
Sista Hansen tucking me in for
bedtime! She's our second mom. Haha
